Hi Cear,
What version of AjaxSwing you have used?
And we have already released new version 4.3.3 in August, can you try reproduce this issue on latest version of AjaxSwing?
Sincerely, Michael

Hi Patty,
You app must generate file, save with name from UI in temp folder (AjaxSwing part) and provide for user availability to download it?
Is it correct?
If yes, I cannot look code that will generate file for download. Can you show part of code before else?

Community Technical Support / Re: HTTP GET and POST calls
« on: August 31, 2016, 05:58:05 AM »
I have a project that includes applets that do these two things:
1) Communicates with the surrounding web page through JavaScript
2) Makes HTTP calls to our web server and processes the response
My question is how do I deal with the conversion of these two processes?

Hi Joseph,
1) Yes, you can use http://www.creamtec.com/products/ajaxswing/doc/AjaxSwingAPI.html#addFastSubmitHandler this feature and make some updates in your code for it
2) Yes you can make HTTP calls
It's related to your app archetecture, and for this we need investigate it. At this point we would like to offer you our Professional services, so we can check your app, analyze it and provide with solution for your app or any issues you faced with while using AjaxSwing.

If you are interested, please contact to our manager Lubov via lubov.azarova@agileengine.com
Sincerely, Michael

AjaxSwing doesn't "scan" packages. You just need to make sure that all your .jar files are on the right classpath. You can start by putting them all into Ajaxswing\wcapps\lib.

If you get a ClassNotFound exception make sure that the class is in one of the jars.

Read AjaxSwing User Guide for details on configuration.

If you need to work with files and USB devices on the end user's computer a web application (and AjaxSwing) does not sound like the right way to go, because it doesn't have access to it.

There is no direct support for JavaFX. You can use SnapshotRenderer to render static images which is pretty much what AjaxSwing tries to do out of the box, but as you have observed it will not be per-component rendering.

You can write a custom renderer for JavaFX portions of your UI.

Yes, I've run the SwingSet2 demo successfully as logn as the "abbreviated" form of the URL is used.

In this case

Quote
I get the Initializing, please wait message and then nothing.

means that your application failed to start.

You could attach all the log files so we can take a look.

Sometimes when I run AjaxSwing the following URL is generated www.localhost.com:8040/ajaxswing/apps/MyApp
Could you clarify, where you get this url?

Quote
localhost:8040/ajaxswing/apps/MyApp
This is the right url. It should always work.

Have you tried to run the localhost:8040/ajaxswing/apps/SwingSet2 app which is included into AjaxSwing.

11
As long as it is Swing it will convert it.

12
Yes, that is what AjaxSwing does.

Could you attach all the log files?

I believe you're using an AjaxSwing 4.3.0 or earlier which doesn't support JDK 1.7.0_60.
Could you try the latest one? Or you'll need to change the JDK.

Community Technical Support / Re: Cached scrolling

I see. I'll need some time to create a test app, to reproduce this issue locally.
Also we enable "cached" scrolling if the height or wight is more than 2200 px.
Could you provide your app's properties file?
