URL question
« on: September 11, 2015, 05:39:44 PM »
Sometimes when I run AjaxSwing the following URL is generated www.localhost.com:8040/ajaxswing/apps/MyApp and this always results in a server not Found error.
Sometimes the URL is simply localhost:8040/ajaxswing/apps/MyApp and at least I get the Initializing, please wait message and then nothing.
I'm not sure why I see both URLs.  What do I have to do to ensure I always get the later one?
Also, I have set com.creamtec.core.TraceMgr.level = 10  in the TraceMgr.properties file and that doesn't seem to add value for debugging.

Today is is my first time attempting to use AjaxSwing.

Thanks.

Could you clarify, where you get this url?

localhost:8040/ajaxswing/apps/MyApp
This is the right url. It should always work.

Have you tried to run the localhost:8040/ajaxswing/apps/SwingSet2 app which is included into AjaxSwing.

Yes, I've run the SwingSet2 demo successfully as logn as the "abbreviated" form of the URL is used.  It's just a minor annoyance since I can edit the UR as necessary.

In this case

means that your application failed to start.

You could attach all the log files so we can take a look.
