Adding HTML links?
« on: April 27, 2009, 04:44:27 PM »
Is there a way to place HTML links on a web page which was created with AjaxSwing? We would like to display product icons on a personalized welcome page which refer to other HTML pages generated from a content management system.

Regards,
Jan

Yes, of course. There are several options:

  • Use JLabel with HTML link (<html><a href="http://yahoo.com">YAHOO</a></html>)
  • Programmatically from any event handler by calling ClientAgent.getCurrentInstance().getHTMLPage().setRedirectURL()

  • See
    http://creamtec.com/products/ajaxswing/doc/api/com/creamtec/ajaxswing/core/ClientAgent.html#getCurrentInstance()
    http://creamtec.com/products/ajaxswing/doc/api/com/creamtec/ajaxswing/rendering/AbstractDocument.html#setRedirectURL(java.lang.String)

    That's really "shocking" simple! I'm really amazed by that toolkit  :)

    Thanks, Jan

    Glad you liked it. You can help us to continue improving the product by purchasing a commercial license and support:-)

    Sure, and we already have one for a first pilot project :)
    I think some more will follow. The next project with a web frontend is already in sight.

    arvato services, Germany. The order has been placed at our central buying department last week. It may take up to three weeks until it gets through to you - god only knows why ;)

    I see. I don't believe we've received any official license request yet, but in any case welcome to CreamTec customers team! We'd be glad to help you in any way.
